I Love yoga
I love everything about yoga.
I dreamt of becoming a yoga teacher when I was younger and feel very privileged to have taught yoga classes to so many beautiful souls over the last 10+ years.
The journey went from training as a fitness couch to personal trainer and on to being a yoga instructor. Through that journey I have gained immense knowledge about the body and its systems.
It feels right to be connecting the breath, body, and spirit as a whole rather than just looking at the body in a physical plane only.
When I started teaching small classes I felt like an imposter, like I did not deserve to teach or I wasn’t flexible like the yoga masters on social media. But the wonderful thing about bravery and the journey of taking one step at a time is that it changes. With each breath comes more calm and brings you into the present.
In each session I found a gift, feedback from beautiful attendees that said thank you for being real, for being imperfect and showing me it is ok to accept myself as I am.
Even whilst doing(or attempting) yoga and to not feel self conscious about looking a certain way in a pose, thinking I was doing it wrong. I discovered the truth about how yoga should be. Yoga is moving with your breath, flowing with the way your body moves, not a way you have seen it ‘should’ look like for others.
Yoga is how you feel, you should feel good doing it, moving your body with a flow unique only to you. Truly learning to love yourself – moving because you love yourself not just forcing or pushing yourself into unnatural positions just to perform. My Yoga classes are always planned for the attendees in the room at the time.
Yoga classes can be held anywhere, in gyms, some noisy strong men gyms, or a relaxing countryside retreat.
Yoga in my eyes is for EVERYONE – ANYONE can do yoga. I taught chair yoga, hatha, yin, restorative, sport specific yoga and fitness yoga all with their own unique benefits.
